چکیده
In the expanding field of physiological pH skin sensors, thin temporary tattoo-based devices have gained attention because ultra-conformal adhesion while providing excellent water vapor transmission. Here, a sensor tattoo made paper, screen-printed poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):polystyrene sulfonate electrodes, and pH-responsive hydrogel deposited via initiated chemical deposition, is proposed. The easily transferred on skin, maintaining full functionality, shows conformability to topographical features epidermis. investigation morphology all layers within verifies control desired width thickness hydrogel, deposition shielded areas. layer exhibits reversible swelling 24.7 ± 0.3% 38 1%, with respect dry state, at 4 6, respectively. Impedance spectroscopy identifies phase shift 10 1000 Hz as an pH-related property sensor, which can be only ascribed presence hydrogel. sensors ability operated non-sophisticated read-out hardware software also demonstrated.

Polymer Nanocoatings by Initiated Chemical Vapor Deposition (iCVD)
Initiated chemical vapor deposition (iCVD) is a novel process capable of producing a range of polymeric and multifunctional nanocoatings. The process utilizes hot filaments to drive gas phase chemistry which enables the deposition of true linear polymers rather than the highly crosslinked organic networks often associated with plasma enhanced CVD. Importantly, the object to be coated remains at...
متن کاملInitiated Chemical Vapor Deposition of Functional Polyacrylic Thin Films
Initiated chemical vapor deposition (iCVD) was explored as a novel method for synthesis of functional polyacrylic thin films. The process introduces a peroxide initiator, which can be decomposed at low temperatures (<2000 C) and initialize addition reaction of monomer species. The use of low temperatures limits the decomposition chemistry to the bond scission of initiator, while retaining funct...

P(neopentyl methacrylate-co-ethylene glycol dimethacrylate) copolymer, abbreviated as P(npMAco-EGDA), was selected as the potential air-gap sacrificial material among possible combination of twenty monomers and four crosslinkers. P(npMA-co-EGDA) was deposited onto substrates using initiated chemical vapor deposition (iCVD) technique. Spectroscopic data showed the effective incorporation of both...

متن کاملA conformal nano-adhesive via initiated chemical vapor deposition for microfluidic devices.
A novel high-strength nano-adhesive is demonstrated for fabricating nano- and microfluidic devices. While the traditional plasma sealing methods are specific for sealing glass to poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS), the new method is compatible with a wide variety of polymeric and inorganic materials, including flexible substrates. Additionally, the traditional method requires that sealing occur with...
